Frequently Asked Questions
While many recipes will call for French dressing, or even just using Thousand Island dressing, Big Mac sauce is actually neither of those. It is a blend of mayo, ketchup, mustard, sweet pickle relish, vinegar, and other spices and seasonings. For this recipe I use my own homemade burger sauce recipe.
You can pile this casserole on top of shredded lettuce to make a delicious Big Mac salad. Alternatively, you can try my Bacon Cheeseburger Salad Recipe.

Hello! I can't wait to try this recipe. What size casserole dish do you suggest? I will probably make 1/2 of the recipe as it will just be for me (with some leftovers, of course!)
Thanks!

Made this last night, but with ground turkey (I don't eat beef or pork), and it was fantastic. Plenty of leftovers for lunch. Thank you for this!

I will have to substitute it for Turkey as well. I'm glad you posted that you tried it. 🙂 Thank you!

Best. Recipe. Ever. The flavors in this dish will take you right back to those “Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun” days. But without the bun. 🙂 My husband loved it. Thank you, Kyndra!

My husband and I both have fond memories of Big Macs. We ate them when we were young and didn't know what we now know. Haven't eaten one in decades.
I made this recipe and we both LOVED it. Will definitely make it again. It really does recreate the taste of a Big Mac. Also will be making the dressing again just to use on salads. It was really good. I never buy bottled dressing, so missed the flavor. Kudos on this recipe.

Great idea making the Russian dressing for salads! I think I will too haha!!
Susan says
Omg! I bet I haven’t had one either in 35 years ! Imagine that ? Lol
Racheypoo says
I used lean beef and half as much cheese to cut back the calories. This dish is amazing, the Russian dressing is spot on Big Mac flavor. My husband and kids ages 10, 4, and 2 enjoyed this. The 2 yr old was less thrilled than the rest of us though!
