This low carb taco seasoning is a tad on the spicy side. If you do not care for spicy foods, simply reduce or omit the cayenne pepper. Use 4 tablespoons of seasoning for each pound of meat used. To make taco meat, simply brown the ground beef, ground turkey or meat of choice and drain excess grease. Add ⅔ cup water and 4 tablespoons of the low carb taco seasoning, reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

I’ve been making this slice blend for years. I actually multiply by 10 so I can have plenty in hand since I use it for seasoning so many things - shrimp, steak and pork.

This is my go-to taco seasoning recipe! I think the celery salt is what makes it better than others I’ve tried. Thank you for an excellent recipe!

      Aloha Kyndra,
Your first ingredient is chili powder. To me, chili powder has always refered to a combiniation of spices to make chili with. I'm curious to know if that's what you're referring to or is it chile powder as in one specific pepper? Mahalo for your assistance in clearing this up and also for all the yummy recipes! Hope you're still getting sunshine up in the NW!
