    This Keto Big Mac Pizza Recipe has all the flavors of a juicy burger, but in a delicious low carb pizza. Seasoned ground beef, homemade special sauce, shredded lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. It's the perfect low carb, high protein pizza recipe.

    Ingredients in Keto Big Mac Pizza

    • Fathead dough: The crust for this keto Big Mac pizza is a pretty standard cheese and almond flour based fathead dough. If you are looking for a nut free pizza crust, they my Keto Nut Free Pizza Crust Recipe
    • Ground beef: What would a Big Mac be without the beef? Be sure to drain the excess grease after cooking so that you do not end up with a greasy pizza. (More Keto Ground Beef Recipes)
    • Burger sauce: I may be a little biased, but I think my Homemade "Not So Secret" Burger Sauce Recipe beats Big Mac sauce any day of the week.
    • Romaine lettuce: I like to use romaine because it adds a nice crunch, but you could also use iceberg lettuce.
    • Cheese: For this Big Mac keto pizza, I used a combination of mozzarella cheese and sharp cheddar cheese. You can really use any cheeses you prefer. It is also delicious with slices of American cheese. You can even drizzle some of this Keto Cheese Sauce over top.
    • Pickles: You can use sliced dill pickle chips, dill pickle relish, or chopped dill pickles.
    • Onions: This recipe calls for white onion. If you do not have any onions, you can also use 1 teaspoon of onion powder, or 1 tablespoon of dried minced onion.
    • Sesame seeds: The sesame seeds give you some of the flavor that you would get from the hamburger bun.

    How to Make Keto Pizza Dough

    STEP 1: Preheat oven to 425°F. In a large microwave safe mixing bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute.

    STEP 2: Remove from microwave and stir to combine. Return to microwave for 1 additional minute.

    STEP 3: To the mixing bowl, add the egg, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. (It will be stiff and hard to mix)

    STEP 4: Line a 10-inch pizza pan with parchment paper. Spread the "dough" into a thin but even layer, covering the pizza pan. If the dough gets too stringy and unworkable, simply put it back in the microwave for 1 minute to soften.

    STEP 5: Bake on the middle rack for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Watch it to make sure that it does not bubble up. Use a toothpick to pop any bubbles, if necessary.

    STEP 6: Spread ½ cup of the burger sauce across the baked pizza crust. Layer on half of the cheese.

    STEP 7: In a skillet, over medium heat, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the ground beef is cooked through and the onions are soft. Drain any excess grease. Spread the cooked beef in an even layer across the top of the cheese, top with remaining cheese. Reduce the oven heat to 375°F. Bake the pizza for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted.

    STEP 8: Top the pizza with lettuce and pickle slices. Drizzle over some of the remaining burger sauce and sprinkle on the sesame seeds. Slice into 8 slices.

    Recipe Tips and Variations

    • Storage: Store leftover keto Big Mac pizza in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
    • Reheating: Because of the lettuce, this pizza is best enjoyed immediately.
    • Make a salad: Skip the pizza crust altogether and make a Big Mac salad. Better yet, try this Keto Big Mac Casserole.
    • Add bacon: While a Big Mac does not typically have bacon, it is a delicious addition. You could also make this Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza.
    • Make it with pizza sauce: Instead of using the Big Mac sauce as the base for the pizza, try making it with my Homemade Pizza Sauce.

    Description

    This Keto Big Mac Pizza Recipe has all the flavors of a juicy burger, but in a delicious low carb pizza. Seasoned ground beef, homemade special sauce, shredded lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.


    Ingredients

    For the Crust:

    • 1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
    • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
    • 1 large egg
    • ¾ cup blanched almond flour (I use this brand)
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ½ teaspoon onion powder
    • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • ½ teaspoon sea salt
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper

    For the Toppings:

    • 1 batch “Not So Secret” Burger Sauce
    • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (I use half sharp cheddar and half mozzarella)
    • ½ pound ground beef
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • ½ cup diced onion
    • ½ teaspoon sea salt, more to taste
    • ½ cup thinly shredded romaine lettuce
    • 15 to 20 dill pickles slices
    • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds


    Instructions

    For the Crust:

    1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
    2. In a large microwave safe mixing bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute. Remove from microwave and stir to combine. Return to microwave for 1 additional minute.
    3. To the mixing bowl, add egg, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, sea salt and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. (It will be stiff and hard to mix)

    2. Reduce the oven heat to 375°F. Bake the pizza for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
    3. Top the pizza with lettuce and pickle slices. Drizzle over some of the remaining burger sauce and sprinkle on the sesame seeds. Slice into 8 slices.

      This was really tasty, and very filling! Also I only needed to bolus 2 units for the protein, and my bs only rose 15 points after eating, yay!
