Rich Fudgy Double Chocolate Keto Brownies
Fudgy Double Chocolate Brownies!! Do I have your attention now? These low carb brownies are also gluten free and contain no artificial sweeteners or funky ingredients. They come in at just 1.5 net carbs per serving. Did I mention that keto brownies are my favorite sweet treat ever? Especially when they are gluten free keto brownies.
How to make keto brownies
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8 by 8-inch baking dish. Alternately you can line it with parchment paper, leaving a couple inches of overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, monkfruit, cocoa powder, peanut butter powder, eggs, butter, water, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Using an electric hand mixer, mix until all ingredients are well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread in an even layer.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the center is set. Start checking at the 12 minute mark.
- Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes before cutting and serving. Cut into 16 squares.
The best keto brownies
As a general rule, my tastes have always gravitated to the savory over the sweet. I am not much for cakes, cupcakes, pies, etc. I mean, they taste great, but I don't have a hard time staying away from them. Now keto brownies, that is a different story.
A fresh warm pan of gluten free keto brownies will lead me to the kitchen with a butter knife, prying away the perfectly crispy edge pieces. Who's with me on the edge pieces? When I was little, I was known to sneak into the kitchen and eat the entire perimeter of a pan of brownies, as if no one would notice. Who am I kidding? I still do that! I don't crave sweets that often, but when I do, it is usually a fresh pan of these brownies.

This is the ONLY, let me repeat, ONLY, keto brownie recipe that I have made that actually tastes like regular, carb laden brownies. It's hard to convince someone that's living the low carb life that these are ok to eat. I've tried several different "from scratch" recipes and a few prepackaged mixes but this is my "go to." No others compare. These brownies are that good. They're simple to measure out, mix together and bake. It’s nice to be able to satisfy a sweet tooth without a lot of fuss. It's recipes like this that make healthy eating habits easier to maintain.

My favorite (and most requested) keto brownie recipe!!
One question... Can the brownies be made ahead and frozen? Without sacrificing texture and taste?
Thanks!
Kyndra Holley says
I can't really say as I have never frozen them, but my guess is that freezing them would definitely change the texture

I made these with peanutbutter and the texture was ooie gooey good! May try extra chips next time to up the chocolate taste. Could definitely taste the peanutbutter. I also cut the sugar in half and thought they were sweet enough. Great recipe!

The best brownies ever! They really taste like the brownies my mom made growing up - just without all the bad stuff! I do use peanut butter instead of almond butter due to a nut allergy! I’m sure the almond is even better! But they are amazing with the peanut butter and don’t spike my blood sugar! Every recipe I have tried form this site - and I use 3-4 a week is amazing!! My husband and kids were doubters of the brownies - and then they tried them!!
liz says
What can I substitute instead of the peanut butter powder?
I don't like peanut butter.
Kyndra Holley says
You can just omit it

Delicious! Mine were a little dry so I will remove from oven sooner next time. BUT they do seem to get moister as the days go on. I may also put more cocoa and chocolate chips in next time.
Laurie says
These are the best brownies i have ever made without flour. Very close to the real thing. Caution - if make them you will eat the entire pan in one day.
thanks Kyndra
