The best Balsamic Shallot Vinaigrette Dressing
This Keto Balsamic Shallot Vinaigrette is one of my all-time favorite dressings, especially in the summer months. It is so fresh and light, and is the perfect compliment to just about any salad.
I love that this Balsamic Shallot Dressing can have such a complex flavor with such simple ingredients. You likely already have these ingredients sitting in your kitchen anyway.
Why buy store-bought salad dressings, with nasty chemical additive, when making your own healthy version at home is so simple? Have you ever looked at the back of a bottle of salad dressing in the store? You may just run scared in the opposite direction. Just because something is low carb or keto friendly, does not mean that it is health. Let's compare the ingredients in this Balsamic Shallot Vinaigrette to a stir-bought brand shall we?
Ingredients in store bought salad dressing
Kraft Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing Ingredients: Water, Balsamic Vinegar (wine vinegar, grape juice, water), soybean oil, sugar, canola oil, salt, contains less that 2% of dried garlic, dijon mustard (distilled vinegar, mustard seed, eater, salt, white wine, tartaric acid, citric acid spice), spice, xanthin gum, dried parsley, oleoresin paprika, potassium sorbate and calcium disodium edta.
This Keto Balsamic Shallot Vinaigrette Dressing Ingredients: balsamic vinegar, avocado oil, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, shallot, red pepper flakes, onion powder, sea salt
Given a choice (and you do have one), which would you choose? I think the obvious choice is clear. The Balsamic Shallot Vinaigrette homemade version is much, much healthier for you.
I'll let you in on another secret… This balsamic vinaigrette recipe is SO good mixed with my Dairy Free Ranch Dressing Recipe. Don't even get me started on the ingredients in Hidden Valley Ranch.
